JBC Coffee Roasters “Bufcafe Rwanda Espresso” Medium Roasted Whole Bean Coffee – 12 Ounce Bag

This espresso is 100 percent Bourbon varietal that originates from Bufcafe in the Nyamagabe locale of Rwanda. Epiphanie Mukashyaka made the Bufcafe washing station following the Rwandan slaughter and the staggering loss of a large portion of her family. She and her child currently work two wet factories and a dry plant in the region. The now popular Bufcafe washing stations are close to the Karaba town in the mountains in the Ginkongoro prefecture. They process espresso cherry from two espresso cooperatives: Cobabakagi (1300 individuals) and TerimbereKawa Yacu (400-600 individuals). Espressos prepared after conventional Rwandan handling strategies. Handling begins with a drifting tank sort taken after by a 8 to 12 hour dry aging, second sort (by weight) utilizing water shoots, and afterward a 24 hour douse preceding hand washing and hand arranging. The espresso is then dried on raised drying beds on the mountain valley floor.
